Lamona dishwasher fault codes
Lamona dishwashers have two fault codes, and Howdens publish them in the section of the manual headed "Fault codes" as pictures of the display rather than as text — which is why so many lists get them wrong or say there are none. E:01 covers two conditions, not draining water and, if there are signs of water, an internal leak. E:02, shown with the tap symbol lit, is no water supply. That is the whole system. Anything beyond those two on a list of Lamona dishwasher codes has come from a different appliance.
Where the code shows on a Lamona
The display reads E:01 or E:02 with a colon; typed without it, E01 and E02 are the same codes. Be careful what you find elsewhere. Lists of E01 to E04 for Lamona circulate with a door-lock meaning for E01, and that is the table from the Lamona washing machine manuals, which Howdens host in the same place as the dishwasher ones. On the dishwasher, E:01 is drain or leak and E:02 is water supply, and there is no E03 or E04. The manuals make one distinction that matters more than the code itself: E:01 with signs of water is an internal leak, and the instruction changes from checking a hose to turning off the water and the electricity and calling for a service engineer. The installation sheets add a line worth knowing for a new machine — if an error code is displayed on first use, or the machine does not fill or empty, check the hoses for kinks.
How to reset a Lamona
Two of the four manuals read — LAM8676 and LAM8376 — attach a reset to the water supply code: press the start button twice. The LAM8304 and LAM8607 editions carry the same E:02 line without it. There is no reset published for E:01. The button Howdens call Start / Pause / Cancel is labelled "Cancel 3 sec." on every panel drawn in the manuals, so a programme is cancelled by holding it for three seconds. Before any maintenance, the manual’s instruction is to switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug from the socket; for the internal leak condition Howdens offer no reset at all, which is deliberate — that one is meant to stop the machine, not be dismissed.
