Neff Neff induction hobs fault codes
Where nearly all of these displays occur. The electronics under the glass are what overheat, and they are also what generates the codes.
Codes on the Neff induction hobs follow the same Neff scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
Neff fault codes
Every published Neff code. Open a code to see which models and years it applies to.
- F5Hot cookware is sitting too close to the control panel. Neff publish two versions, and whether a power level shows alongside tells you which you have.Usually simple to fix
- F2F2, F4 and the long codes E7015, E8207 and E8208 all mean the control electronics overheated and shut one or more zones off. Let it cool, then touch any button.Usually simple to fix
- F8A zone has been on continuously for too long and the safety switch-off has fired. Nothing is broken — touch any button and set it again.Usually simple to fix
- F1F1 or F6: a cooking zone got hot enough to threaten the worktop and switched itself off. Neff’s remedy is to wait for it to cool and switch the zone back on.Usually simple to fix
- 513Neff tie this one to before first use, which makes it an installation error. Contact whoever wired the hob rather than the manufacturer.Get it checked
- F3F3 is the one short F-code Neff call an electrical fault rather than a protection. Their published remedy is a power cycle at the wall; if it returns, it is an engineer.Get it checked
- DashesFlashing dashes in the zone displays, and no digits, is Neff’s electronics-fault indication. Their published first step is to cover the control panel with your hand to acknowledge it.Get it checked
- EA lone E in a zone display is a stored fault code you have not read yet. Neff’s instruction is to press and hold the zone’s control to reveal the actual code.Get it checked
- FOn a Neff venting hob, a lit F is the odour-filter saturation indicator: the filters need changing and the indicator resetting. It is maintenance, not a fault, and cooking is unaffected.Usually simple to fix
- 141Neff publish no meaning for 141 at all. Their page says only that you should book an engineer, and we are not going to invent the rest.Get it checked
- AnimationsMoving patterns on a Neff hob display that will not respond are the hob doing self-maintenance, such as a firmware update. Neff say to wait until they stop, then switch on.Usually simple to fix
