Leisure range cooker fault codes
Leisure is a Beko plc brand, and Beko do not put a fault code table in their range cooker manuals. The troubleshooting section of the Leisure induction range cooker book contains no codes at all, so if you have a character on a Leisure display it is far more likely to be a setting than a fault. This is what each of them means and what the published symptoms actually point at.
Where the code shows on a Leisure
Almost everything a Leisure induction range cooker can show you is a setting. The zone displays carry 0 to 9 for power, U immediately below 1 for keep warm, P for the booster, H when a zone is still hot enough to matter, an L on every zone when the keylock is on, a pause symbol on every zone when the hob is paused, and the selected level alternating with a pan symbol when the pan has been lifted off. There is no error code set behind them: no E numbers, no F numbers, no Er numbers anywhere in the manual. On the oven side a blinking clock or a lit clock symbol is published as the sign of an earlier power cut rather than a fault. The gas models have no hob display, only the clock, and no codes either.
How to reset a Leisure
Leisure publish the most precise reset instruction of any brand in this category, and it is worth following literally: disconnect the appliance at the circuit breaker, wait 20 seconds, and then reconnect it. They give it for the case where the display does not light up when the hob is switched on again, and it is a good deal more specific than the "few minutes" other manufacturers offer. Two other published recoveries matter as much. If the panel controls do nothing, their instruction is that the keylock may be enabled and should be disabled: with the hob in standby, press and hold the on/off key until the L symbols disappear from the zone displays. And if the clock display is blinking or the clock symbol is on, a previous power outage has occurred, so the time needs setting before the ovens will work. Their closing instruction is unambiguous: consult the authorised service agent or your dealer if you cannot remedy the trouble, and never attempt to repair a defective product yourself.
Most common Leisure faults
The Leisure codes people look up most.
- Oven does not heatGet it checkedLeisure name three causes for an oven that will not heat: no function or temperature set, a timer that has never been adjusted, and the power being cut.
- No published code tableUsually simple to fixLeisure is a Beko plc brand and their range cooker manuals contain no error codes at all. A letter on a Leisure display is almost always a setting.
- HUsually simple to fixLeisure publish something no other range cooker brand does: cut the power and the residual heat indicator goes out, leaving a hot zone with no warning on it.
- UUsually simple to fixU is a keep-warm level sitting between 0 and 1 on the slider, not an error. P is boost. Anyone searching for it is looking at a setting.
