Candy dishwashers fault codes
Candy dishwashers use a short list of E codes, and the emphasis is on short — eight are officially documented, which is far fewer than the tables you will find elsewhere. Hoover machines use the same codes, because they are the same manufacturer. Candy are also the only brand here that tells you exactly how to read a fault on a machine with no display, down to the length of the pause.
Where the code shows on a Candy
Models with a display show the code directly. Models without one flash it, and Candy publish the method precisely: every LED flashes together, the number of flashes gives the code, and then there is a five-second pause before it repeats. Two flashes, five seconds, two flashes means error 2. Note that this is a recent addition — older Hoover-branded manuals say only that the light for the selected cycle blinks rapidly, with no count at all, so on an older machine there is nothing to count. Some models with a text display show CHECK WATER or NO WATER with a short audio signal instead of a code.
How to reset a Candy
Switch off at the socket and restart. Candy are blunt about the limits of that: if the appliance breaks down or stops working properly, switch it off, turn off the water supply and do not tamper with it, with repairs carried out by an approved service agent using genuine parts only.
