What is the difference between F69 and F67?
Miele are precise about this. F69 and F78 mean the circulation pump is blocked, and they publish instructions for clearing it. F67, F68 and F79 mean a circulation pump fault, and those carry their standard wording that it is a technical fault you cannot remedy yourself. The code is telling you which side of that line you are on.
Is the circulation pump the same as the drain pump?
No, and mixing them up sends you to the wrong place. The circulation pump drives water up to the spray arms during the wash. The drain pump empties the machine at the end. A blocked circulation pump leaves dirty dishes; a blocked drain pump leaves standing water.
