Triton Triton thermostatic models fault codes
T80Z and the Omnicare care showers. Add outlet temperature sensing to the same platform, so the temperature-related problems behave differently on these; the Omnicare also has its own three-light indication and an eleven-problem table.
Codes on the Triton thermostatic models follow the same Triton scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
Triton fault codes
Every published Triton code. Open a code to see which models and years it applies to.
- Low pressure indicator litA named Triton lamp with one meaning: pressure fell below what the shower needs, so it cut power to the elements and left the water running.Usually simple to fix
- Abnormal safety cut-out operatedTriton’s thermal cut-out is a one-shot device. It cannot be reset, and their own instruction is that an engineer replaces it after the fault is repaired.Get it checked
- Water temperature cycling hot and coolTriton problem 3. The shower swings between hot and cool at intervals, and their published cause is the heater cycling on its temperature limiter.Get it checked
- Shower goes cold during useTriton problem 5, and their published answer is one line: the water pressure dropped below the minimum, so wait until it comes back.Usually simple to fix
- TP temperature protectionTriton’s automatic temperature protection. It removes power to the elements when the limit is exceeded and puts it back on its own once things cool.Usually simple to fix
- Shower fails to shut offTriton problem 7. Water keeps running after you press stop, and the shower is still an energised appliance while you work out what to do.Get it checked
- Power on indicator not litThe neon in the start/stop button is a direct test of whether the supply has reached the shower. Unlit with the cord on points outward, not inward.Get it checked
