New World range cooker fault codes
New World is a Glen Dimplex badge that spent five years licensed to another manufacturer and has now come back to Glen Dimplex, with a small live website that publishes no fault codes. What matters most is still the open gas safety programme on the older New World gas range cookers, whose official signpost is dead.
Where the code shows on a New World
We publish no New World code table, because no manufacturer-hosted one exists to publish: the revived newworld.co.uk has FAQs and a model-number manual lookup, and no code in either. If your New World is a Glen Dimplex-made model with an induction hob and is showing a character, the Stoves and Belling pages describe the same platform and are the closest honest answer available — but read them knowing that the published Glen Dimplex tables genuinely differ between badges and between document years, so treat anything you find there as a strong lead rather than a definitive answer for your appliance. If your New World was made under the licence, roughly 2021 to 2025, it is not on the Glen Dimplex platform at all and those pages do not describe it.
How to reset a New World
New World now publish a reset of their own, written for the current 50cm cookers but the same wall-switch reset Stoves and Belling give, for the cooker that will not work after a power failure: switch off the electricity supply to the cooker at the wall switch, and when the supply is restored switch it back on at the wall and re-set the timer clock to the correct time of day. Their oven FAQ adds the rest of the sequence: check there is power and the timer display is lit, make sure the time of day has been set, and if any symbol on the timer is flashing press the middle function button repeatedly until all the symbols go out, then turn the oven knob to a temperature. It says off at the wall rather than unplug, because a full-width range cooker is hardwired and there is no plug. If a code returns when the power comes back, ring the New World customer support team on 0344 815 3747 rather than repeating it — unless the cooker was made under the licence, in which case Glen Dimplex say to contact the original manufacturer instead.
