New World No published code tablea plain-English guide
New World is back with Glen Dimplex and has a live site again, but it publishes no code list, and cookers made under the five-year licence are another manufacturer’s problem.
Before you start
What kind of New World do you have?
The right answer depends on what you can see. Pick the one that matches.
Choose the option on the left that matches what your appliance is doing, and the answer for that case appears here.
What kind of New World do you have?
There are no fault codes on a gas cooker from any manufacturer in this category, so nothing is missing from your manual. But there is an open safety programme that names four New World 100cm gas range cookers.
Read the gas grill safety notice page before you use the grill again. The interim instruction is to use it only with the door open.
What kind of New World do you have?
This is where the platform pages help, provided yours is a Glen Dimplex-made cooker with a 4444 model number. Every published Glen Dimplex code is a hob code, and the Stoves and Belling tables cover the same hardware.
Work through the Stoves and Belling pages, and treat what you find as a strong lead rather than a certainty for your badge. If yours was made under the licence, those pages describe a different manufacturer’s hob and do not apply.
What kind of New World do you have?
No Glen Dimplex brand publishes an oven fault code table at all, on any model, including multifunction ovens with electronic programmers. Nothing has been withheld from you.
Start with the clock and manual mode, which is New World’s own answer to a range cooker oven that will not start: power on, timer lit, time of day set, no symbol flashing. That, rather than hunting for a code that does not exist.
What this means
If you have arrived here with a code on a New World display and found nothing useful anywhere else, the reason is not that you searched badly. The brand has had two owners in five years and neither has published a fault code table.
Here is the position as we read it on 3 September 2026. New World’s website, newworld.co.uk, is live again and belongs to Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, who make Stoves and Belling. Its contact page says in so many words that the New World brand has returned to Glen Dimplex following the end of a five-year licensing agreement, that Glen Dimplex are now producing new New World cookers, and that if you own a New World product made under the previous licence you should contact the original manufacturer’s customer support rather than Glen Dimplex. The site sells two 50cm electric ceramic cookers, carries a set of FAQs and a manual lookup by model number, and contains no fault code anywhere. The addresses the licence-era cookers point you to are dead: newworld.family returns an expired-website page, and newworldassist.co.uk presents a security certificate that expired in January 2024, and the page behind it is a warranty registration form and nothing else. The two older newworldappliances addresses do not resolve at all. Glen Dimplex’s own support page tells licence-era owners to visit www.newworld.family.co.uk, and that address does not exist. Searching for New World manuals returns plenty, but every one of them is hosted by a retailer or a manual-sharing site rather than by a manufacturer, and those are not sources we publish from.
So the first question is which New World you have. A model number that is nine digits beginning 4444 is a Glen Dimplex-made cooker, built on the same platform as Stoves and Belling, and the Stoves and Belling pages on this site describe its mechanism; they are the most useful thing available to you. A cooker bought new between about 2021 and 2025 whose book sends you to newworldassist.co.uk was made under the licence by a different manufacturer, is not on the Glen Dimplex platform, and Glen Dimplex will not support it.
Read the Stoves and Belling pages with one caveat, because it is the reason we have not simply relabelled one of them. Those two brands share a platform and still do not share a published code table. Their current documents disagree about which codes exist and about the residual heat threshold, and their 2022 and 2025 manuals disagree with each other on top of that. Copying either table under a New World heading would look authoritative and would be a guess about which of two remedies applies to you.
There is one thing on this brand we can state without qualification, and you should read it: there is an open, serious-risk gas safety programme covering four New World gas range cookers, and the revived website does not mention it.
What causes it
| Cause | What is actually happening | How likely |
|---|---|---|
| The brand changed hands twice and neither owner published codes | Glen Dimplex licensed the name for five years and have taken it back. Their revived site has FAQs and a manual lookup with no code in either, and the licensee’s sites are gone. | Common |
| The licence-era support sites are dead | newworld.family returns an expired-website page and newworldassist.co.uk presents a certificate that expired in January 2024 with a warranty registration form behind it. Glen Dimplex say those cookers are the original manufacturer’s to support, and point at a newworld.family.co.uk address that does not exist. | Common |
| Every available manual is hosted by somebody other than the manufacturer | Retailer support pages and manual-sharing sites carry New World documents. They may well be genuine scans, but we cannot verify them and this site does not publish from them. | Common |
| The sibling brands do not agree with each other anyway | Stoves and Belling publish different code tables on the same platform, and their own documents changed between 2022 and 2025, so there is no single Glen Dimplex table to inherit even in principle. | Occasional |
What to try yourself
Find the data badge and note the model number down before anything else. Glen Dimplex say to open the main oven door and look for the badge on the frame below the oven cavity. A Glen Dimplex-made New World has a nine-digit number beginning 4444. If your book sends you to newworldassist.co.uk to register it, yours was almost certainly made under the licence, and Glen Dimplex say they will not support it.
If your cooker is gas, read the gas grill safety notice on this site now. There is an open serious-risk programme covering four New World 100cm gas range cookers and it has a specific instruction about how you use the grill in the meantime.
If you have a Glen Dimplex-made New World with an induction hob and a character on a zone display, look at the Stoves and Belling pages here. They describe the same hardware, and between them they cover the obstruction, over-heat, supply and child-lock codes that platform uses.
Try the reset New World themselves publish before concluding anything is broken: switch the cooker off at the wall switch, switch it back on, and re-set the timer clock to the time of day. If the oven is the problem, make sure the timer display is lit and no symbol on it is flashing; if one is, their FAQ says to press the middle function button repeatedly until all the symbols go out, then turn the oven knob to a temperature.
If it persists, ring the New World customer support team on 0344 815 3747 with the model number, Monday to Thursday 9:00 to 5:00 and Friday 9:00 to 4:30. For a licence-era cooker Glen Dimplex say to contact the original manufacturer instead, and the address they give for that, newworld.family.co.uk, does not exist, so the practical route is the retailer you bought it from.
Get a qualified appliance engineer to look at your New World range cooker
We do not pass enquiries to a repair firm, so there is no form here. When you book a qualified appliance engineer, tell them the make, the model and the exact code or message on the display, and ask whether they carry parts for this make — that is what turns one visit into a repair rather than a quote.

Common questions
Is New World still a going concern?
Yes, and it has just changed hands back. Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, who make Stoves and Belling, licensed the New World name to another manufacturer for five years and have now taken it back; their revived site says they are producing new New World cookers again and their customer support team handles the brand on 0344 815 3747. The catch is in the same paragraph: a New World made under the licence is, in Glen Dimplex’s words, the original manufacturer’s to support, not theirs.
I found a New World manual online. Can I use it?
You can, and it may well be a perfectly accurate scan. We are simply not willing to republish it as fact, because we cannot confirm it came from the manufacturer or which revision it is, and on this platform the revision genuinely changes what the codes mean. Use it as a reference for your own cooker, not as a settled answer. The one manufacturer-hosted route is the model-number lookup on newworld.co.uk, which is worth trying first with your 4444 number.
Why not just copy the Stoves table across?
Because Stoves and Belling are the same manufacturer on the same platform and they still publish different tables. Belling list codes Stoves do not, they give different residual heat temperatures, and both changed their lists between 2022 and 2025. Picking one and putting a New World badge on it would be presenting a guess with a confident face.
Does my New World have any codes at all?
If it is a Glen Dimplex-made cooker with an induction hob, almost certainly yes, and they will be the Glen Dimplex platform codes. If it is gas or dual fuel, very likely none, because the gas side of every brand we researched publishes no numeric codes and the ovens on these cookers publish none either. If it was made under the licence we cannot say, because that manufacturer’s documents are not reachable.
Technical review
Not reviewed by an engineer
No engineer has read this page. Severity follows what the manufacturer publishes, and we would rather tell you that than let a byline imply a sign-off.
Sources and how we verified this
We establish the facts from the sources below and then write the explanation ourselves. We do not copy manufacturer wording and we do not host their manuals.

This page has not been reviewed by an engineer, and we would rather tell you that than imply otherwise. The severity rating follows what the manufacturer publishes: where they say isolate the appliance and call someone, so do we.
