Vokèra boilers fault codes
Vokèra split their codes into two groups and the distinction is the most useful thing to understand about them. An A prefix is a lockout — the appliance has stopped and will not restart until somebody presses reset. A bare number, or on the Mynute range an AL prefix, is a blocking condition that will clear on its own once the underlying situation resolves. So an A04 needs you to do something; a 04 on an older appliance may well clear itself when the pressure recovers. Vokèra appliances are common in the rental sector, which means a lot of these codes get looked up by tenants rather than owners.
Where the code shows on a Vokèra
On the Vision and Easi-Heat ranges the code shows on the LCD as A followed by two digits, alternating with the temperature. Older Compact and Excel appliances use a row of indicator lights instead of a display, and the fault is read from which combination is lit — the legend for that is printed inside the front panel. The Mynute range uses AL codes, which map onto the same faults with different numbers.
How to reset a Vokèra
Press the reset button — on most models the one marked R, or the button showing a flame with a cross through it — and hold for two to three seconds. Vokèra appliances lock out permanently after a set number of attempts in a short window and then need the power cycling at the fused spur. If you have reached that point, the fault is real and needs an engineer rather than another reset.

- A01Get it checkedThe burner failed to light and the appliance has locked out. Check the gas supply and, in cold weather, the condensate pipe before calling anyone.
- A04Usually simple to fixSystem water pressure is below the minimum the appliance will run at. Topping the system back up to 1.2 bar normally clears it straight away.
- A02Get it checkedThe safety limit thermostat has tripped on overheat. In practice this nearly always means water has stopped circulating properly.
- A03Get it checkedThe appliance cannot confirm the fan is running correctly, so it will not permit the burner to light. This needs an engineer.
