Baumatic Candy-built models with a digital display fault codes
BDIF615/1, BDIF616 and BDFF631 among the 2016-era machines; BI 6E4LB-80, BDIN 1L38B-80, BI 3F53L0B-80 and BI 3E53E0B-80 in the current range. These show Candy’s E-codes — E2, E3, E4, E8 or Ei, and on the 2016-era machines E5, E6, E7, Ef and EL. The prefix does not tell you whether a machine has a display: BDIF covers both kinds.
Codes on the Candy-built models with a digital display follow the same Baumatic scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
Baumatic fault codes
Every published Baumatic code. Open a code to see which models and years it applies to.
- E3Cannot drain. Baumatic name the siphon specifically, which points at the plumbing under your sink rather than the machine.Get it checked
- E2No water reaching the machine. Baumatic’s Candy-built models word it three ways across editions — kinked hose, closed hose, "does not fill" — and the checks are the same.Get it checked
- E4Water leak. Baumatic’s published fix for this code is to check the drain hose — but the instruction they should have given is elsewhere in the same manual.Stop — call an engineer
- E8Heating fault — or blocked filters. Baumatic give two quite different causes for one code, and one of them is free.Get it checked
- E5A control electronics fault on the Candy-era machines. On a Baumatic built before 2014 the same E6 and E7 are thermistor faults, which is a far smaller bill.Get it checked
