Stoves Zeus app no longer availablea plain-English guide
Stoves publish that the Zeus Appliance Control App is no longer available to download, and that appliances built from May 2022 onwards were not fitted with the Bluetooth-enabled timer.
Before you start
When was your Stoves cooker built?
The right answer depends on what you can see. Pick the one that matches.
Choose the option on the left that matches what your appliance is doing, and the answer for that case appears here.
When was your Stoves cooker built?
Your cooker has the hardware but the app has been withdrawn. Stoves publish no replacement and no alternative download.
Keep any installed copy, and use the cooker’s own timer controls.
When was your Stoves cooker built?
Stoves publish that these appliances have not had the Bluetooth-enabled timer fitted, so there is nothing for an app to connect to and nothing has been lost.
Use the timer on the appliance as your guide describes.
When was your Stoves cooker built?
Unrelated to the app. Stoves publish that the time of day may need setting and that some timers need putting into manual mode before the oven will function.
Work through the timer settings rather than the app.
What this means
This page exists because there is nowhere else that says it. Stoves published a Bluetooth timer on some range cookers and an app to talk to it, called the Zeus Appliance Control App, and both have quietly ended. Their published position is short and unambiguous: the Zeus Appliance Control App is no longer available to download, they apologise for any inconvenience caused, and appliances built from May 2022 onwards have not had the Bluetooth-enabled timer fitted. That is the whole statement, and everything worth knowing follows from those three clauses. If your cooker was built before May 2022 and has a Bluetooth-enabled timer, you have hardware whose companion app has been withdrawn. Stoves publish the end date and not the start, so we do not put a year on when the Bluetooth timer first appeared.
If you still have the app installed on an old phone it may continue to work, but it is no longer offered for download, so changing phone, reinstalling, or moving to a new device means losing it with no published route back. If your cooker was built from May 2022 onwards, there is no Bluetooth timer in it and there never was, so an app was never part of the picture and nothing has been taken away from you. Stoves do not publish a replacement app, a firmware route, a third-party alternative, or a retrofit, and this page is not going to speculate about one.
What has not changed is the cooker. The timer on the appliance itself is unaffected by any of this and works exactly as its section of your user guide describes — setting the time of day, the minute minder and the cook-to-off functions are all done at the cooker. It is also worth being clear that the app was a convenience layer rather than a control the cooker depends on: an oven that will not start is a timer or a mode question, not an app question. Owners looking for the Zeus app because their oven has stopped responding are usually looking at something else entirely, most often a timer that needs the time of day set or needs putting into manual mode. If you need to confirm what your particular appliance was built with, the build date and model details are the deciding facts, and Stoves customer care on 0344 815 3740 is the published contact.
What causes it
| Cause | What is actually happening | How likely |
|---|---|---|
| The app has been withdrawn | Stoves state that the Zeus Appliance Control App is no longer available to download. It is not a store outage or a regional restriction — they have published it as withdrawn. | Common |
| Your appliance was built from May 2022 onwards | Stoves publish that appliances built from that point have not had the Bluetooth-enabled timer fitted, so there is no hardware in the cooker for an app to connect to. | Common |
| A phone change or reinstall removed a working copy | Owners of earlier cookers with the Bluetooth timer often lose the app this way rather than all at once, because a copy already installed is not affected until it is removed. | Occasional |
What to try yourself
Check whether your cooker has a Bluetooth-enabled timer at all. Stoves publish that appliances built from May 2022 onwards were not fitted with one.
If you still have the app installed on an existing phone, leave it in place. It is no longer available to download, so removing it is not reversible.
Use the timer on the cooker itself for the time of day, the minute minder and cook-to-off functions. None of those depend on the app.
If the oven will not start rather than the app not connecting, check the timer instead — the time of day may need setting, or the timer may need putting into manual mode.
For anything specific to your build date or model, contact Stoves customer care on 0344 815 3740. Stoves publish no replacement app and no retrofit.
Get a qualified appliance engineer to look at your Stoves range cooker
We do not pass enquiries to a repair firm, so there is no form here. When you book a qualified appliance engineer, tell them the make, the model and the exact code or message on the display, and ask whether they carry parts for this make — that is what turns one visit into a repair rather than a quote.

Common questions
Where can I download the Stoves Zeus app?
You cannot. Stoves publish that the Zeus Appliance Control App is no longer available to download and apologise for the inconvenience. They do not publish a replacement app or an alternative download route.
Does my Stoves cooker have a Bluetooth timer?
It depends on when it was built. Stoves publish that appliances built from May 2022 onwards have not had the Bluetooth-enabled timer fitted. Cookers from before that point may have one, and customer care on 0344 815 3740 can confirm against your model and build date.
Will my cooker still work without the app?
Yes. The timer on the appliance is independent of the app and handles the time of day, the minute minder and cook-to-off in the way your user guide describes. The app was a convenience layer, not a control the cooker needs.
My timer keys have stopped responding — is that the app?
No, and it is worth checking for a padlock symbol on the timer display. Stoves publish an oven timer child lock: if the middle timer key has a clock symbol, hold it for about 10 seconds until you hear a short beep and the padlock disappears; if the middle key has a circular arrow and the word menu, hold the plus key for about 10 seconds instead. That is the oven timer child lock, which is a different control from the hob child lock.
Why does my Stoves timer display go dim on its own?
Stoves publish this as an energy-saving function. The timer display dims approximately 30 seconds after the last touch of a timer key, and pressing any timer key brightens it again. It is not the display failing and it is nothing to do with the withdrawn app.

Not reviewed by an engineer
No engineer has read this page. Severity follows what the manufacturer publishes, and we would rather tell you that than let a byline imply a sign-off.

We establish the facts from the sources below and then write the explanation ourselves. We do not copy manufacturer wording and we do not host their manuals.
