AEG BPS355020M fault codes
3000 Series SteamBake, pyrolytic, knob controls with Plus Steam. This is the manual that carries the C4 row, because Plus Steam is the function C4 reports on.
Codes on the BPS355020M follow the same AEG scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
AEG fault codes
Every published AEG code. Open a code to see which models and years it applies to.
- F1One code, two published meanings. On a pyrolytic AEG oven it is about the door not closing. On a non-pyrolytic one AEG call it an electronic fault and send you straight to service.Get it checked
- DemoThe oven lights up, accepts settings and never heats. AEG admit demo mode can switch itself on after a power cut, and the code to switch it off is 2 4 6 8.Usually simple to fix
- C3Two different things share this label. Selected from the cleaning menu it is a three-hour clean. Shown on the display as Err C3, it means the door is not closed.Usually simple to fix
- F102The one F code AEG actually define for the UK. They put it down to the door lock or the electronics, and give you two things to try before booking an engineer.Get it checked
- SAFESAFE or a padlock symbol means one of three things on an AEG oven, and only one of them needs you to do anything. Work out which before you start pressing buttons.Usually simple to fix
- C1Check first whether you picked C1 off the cleaning menu, where it is the one-hour light clean. As a fault it means the telescopic rails are still in the oven.Usually simple to fix
- F113AEG name F113 as an example of a code you might see, then publish no meaning for it. It is one of roughly 74 oven F codes they list and do not define.Get it checked
- F240The touch controls are not registering properly. AEG class this as owner-fixable and their remedy is to clean the display, which is less dismissive than it sounds.Get it checked
- PYRA reminder to run a self-clean, not a fault. The important part: the oven is counting hours rather than detecting dirt, so a spotless oven will still ask.Usually simple to fix
- F908The oven cannot talk to its own control panel. AEG define this one in the manual and leave it out of the code list on their website, where it appears only as an example.Get it checked
- C2As a fault, the food probe is still in the oven and the pyrolytic cycle will not run. As a menu choice, C2 is simply the 90-minute normal clean.Usually simple to fix
- LocThe function lock. It stops the temperature and timer being changed mid-cook, and unlike the child lock it can only be set while the oven is actually running.Usually simple to fix
- C4A steam function is switched on and it blocks the pyrolytic cycle. The catch is that AEG give the button two different names on the same support page.Usually simple to fix
- F111The food probe is plugged in but not pushed fully home. Note that this is the exact opposite of C2, which is the oven objecting to the probe being connected at all.Usually simple to fix
- F601One of four Wi-Fi codes on connected AEG ovens. None of them affects cooking, and AEG give all four an owner remedy rather than sending you to an engineer.Usually simple to fix
