Beko SC fault codewhat it means and how to fix it

Beko’s wording is "Your complaint is not solved during the check". It is the readout telling you the self-test found something it cannot resolve.

Take care

Some of this is safe to check yourself, but the repair itself is not. If the fault comes back after one reset, stop resetting it and get a qualified appliance engineer to look at the Beko properly.

What SC means

SC sits at the top of Beko’s diagnostic table with the cause given as "Your complaint is not solved during the check" and a single remedy: call the authorised service agent. The phrasing is awkward — it reads like a translation, and it is — but the meaning is clear enough once you know the context. The readout you are in is a self-check, and SC is the outcome when that check has run and has not been able to clear or explain the problem you are having. It is the machine declining to give you a more specific answer rather than a fault in its own right.

Practically, this is the point where the diagnostic readout has done all it can for you, and Beko’s position is that the next step is theirs rather than yours. Two things are worth adding. Because SC is a result rather than a component fault, there is no part to price and no remedy to try, which is why the cost here is a diagnostic visit rather than a repair.

And because it appears alongside any other stored codes in the same readout, it is worth writing down everything the display shows, in order, before you ring anyone — the other codes are what the engineer will actually work from.

What to try yourself

  1. Write down every code the readout shows, in the order it shows them, before you leave the screen.

  2. Note the lifetime cycle count that appears before the codes. It tells an engineer how hard the machine has worked and is useful for judging whether a repair is worth it.

  3. Try the reset Beko publish for a machine that has stopped working — press and hold the Start/Pause/Cancel button for three seconds — then run a short cycle once. Their FAQ says that if this does not solve it you may need an engineer.

  4. If the behaviour that made you look is still there, call service and give them the codes you wrote down.

Get a qualified appliance engineer to look at your Beko SC

We do not pass enquiries to a repair firm, so there is no form here. When you book a qualified appliance engineer, tell them the make, the model and the exact code or message on the display, and ask whether they carry parts for this make — that is what turns one visit into a repair rather than a quote.

What it costs to fix

Typical repair cost

£70–£120

10 minutes

A diagnostic visit is typically £70 to £120, usually offset against the repair. No part can be priced from this code alone.

Sources and how we verified this

We establish the facts from the sources below and then write the explanation ourselves. We do not copy manufacturer wording and we do not host their manuals.

  • Manufacturer technical and service documentation

This page has not been reviewed by an engineer, and we would rather tell you that than imply otherwise. The severity rating follows what the manufacturer publishes: where they say isolate the appliance and call someone, so do we.
