Bosch Bosch Series 8 fault codes
Built 2015 onwards
Formerly Logixx. Top of the range, Home Connect, and on some models the i-DOS automatic dosing system, which brings its own codes that no other Bosch machine can show.
Codes on the Bosch Series 8 follow the same Bosch scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
Bosch fault codes
Every published Bosch code. Open a code to see which models and years it applies to.
- E18The machine could not pump out in the time allowed. Bosch point at the filter and the drain hose, and warn that the water you are about to release may be scalding.Get it checked
- E17Problems with the water connection: tap, kinked hose, blocked inlet filter or low pressure. Bosch’s AquaStop hose has a filter at the tap end most owners do not know about.Get it checked
- E23Water has been detected in the base of the machine and the AquaStop system has cut in. Bosch say to turn the tap off immediately and stop using it until it is repaired.Stop — call an engineer
- E32An unbalanced load, and Bosch headline it as the machine flashing "end" at the end of the programme. They state outright that this is not a fault.Usually simple to fix
- E06The pump is blocked by something that got into it, or the outlet hose was kinked when the machine was last moved. Both are owner jobs.Get it checked
- E16The door is not locked properly. Bosch’s US index groups this with E34, F16 and F34 as one fault, and washing caught in the seal is the usual reason.Get it checked
- E19A fault in the heating circuit. BSH offer nothing to try and send it straight to service, and they give E20 the same one-line answer.Get it checked
- E05A problem with the door opening mechanism. BSH give one very specific instruction: close the door until you hear a click, then start the programme.Get it checked
- E43The drum or the motor is blocked, and BSH put the load first: check what is in the machine and do not exceed the maximum quantity.Get it checked
- E33Too much foam. Bosch tell you to reduce the detergent, and on a machine with i-DOS automatic dosing that advice needs adapting.Usually simple to fix
- E29The filters in the inlet or AquaStop hose connection are blocked. BSH publish the procedure, with one warning that matters if you have AquaStop.Get it checked
- E50A motor control fault. BSH publish five of these codes with one shared meaning and no owner remedy at all, which is itself the answer.Get it checked
- E26A problem with the pressure sensor of the water system. The machine cannot tell how much water is in the drum, so it stops.Get it checked
- E79The i-DOS automatic dosing pump is blocked. Only machines with i-DOS can show this, and you can switch the feature off and carry on meanwhile.Get it checked
