Hotpoint Hotpoint Anti-Stain fault codes

NSWM and NSWA prefixes. Anti-Stain is really a cycle rather than a separate product line, which is why it overlaps with ActiveCare in retailer listings.
Codes on the Hotpoint Anti-Stain follow the same Hotpoint scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.

- F05The machine cannot pump out, so the door stays locked with water inside. Hotpoint treat it as an owner job, and two of their own documents agree on the causes.Get it checked
- F06A door lock fault — and the one code on this machine with an open safety recall behind it. If yours was built between October 2014 and February 2018, check the recall before anything else.Get it checked
- Flashing lightsNo display, just lights? Hotpoint decode them by which are lit, not how many times they flash — and every "count the flashes" table online is wrong.Usually simple to fix
- F11A pump circuit fault — water left in the drum. If you found this through the flashing lights tool you were told it was a software fault, because that tool has a bug.Get it checked
- F08A heater fault that stops the programme part way through. Hotpoint offer nothing to try at home and send this one straight to an engineer.Get it checked
- F01A control board fault where some or all functions stop responding. Hotpoint give a specific two-minute power cycle, and it is worth doing once properly.Get it checked
- F03The machine cannot read the water temperature, so it stops rather than guess. Washing comes out cold or the dryer side will not run.Get it checked
- F02The drum is not turning as it should during a wash. Hotpoint route this straight to an engineer, but a jammed drum produces the same code and costs nothing to rule out.Get it checked
- F18An internal data error, and one of only four Hotpoint codes with a published owner remedy. Do the power cycle properly, once, before booking anything.Get it checked
- F07A dual-titled fault with one very distinctive symptom: the programme stalls and the pump keeps running. Hotpoint give no owner steps.Get it checked
- F12An electronic control fault where the machine will not turn on at all. Different from the codes where it powers up and then refuses instructions.Get it checked
- F15A heater control fault. Hotpoint scope this one to both washing machines and washer dryers, and either half can be the one that stalls.Get it checked
- F09A software fault, usually showing as several lights flashing at once and no way to select a programme. Hotpoint send this one to an engineer and publish nothing else about it.Get it checked
- F13A washer dryer only code. The drying half cannot read its own temperature, so the machine washes normally and will not dry.Get it checked
- F16Top loading machines only. The drum has stopped in the wrong place, or the machine cannot confirm it is locked in the right one.Get it checked
