Includes the InTec GS system boilers. Some codes above E30 differ from the E-Tec set — check the manual for the specific appliance.
Codes on the InTec follow the same Alpha scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
Fault codes
All Alpha codes that apply to this model.
- E01The appliance tried to light and could not confirm a flame, so it has locked out. In winter a frozen condensate pipe is the most likely reason.Get it checked
- E10System water pressure has fallen too low for the appliance to fire. Top the system back up to 1.2 bar and it will restart.Usually simple to fix
- E02The overheat thermostat has tripped. Almost always this means water is not moving through the appliance properly rather than that it is running too hot.Get it checked
- E16The control board cannot confirm the fan is running at the speed it asked for, so it will not let the burner light. This one needs an engineer.Get it checked
- E60The appliance cannot confirm the pump is moving water. Left alone it becomes an overheat fault, so it is worth acting on promptly.Get it checked
- E20The appliance is having trouble sensing the flame it has lit. It usually points at the sensing electrode or its earth rather than at the gas side.Get it checked
- E38The burner lit correctly and then the flame signal was lost part-way through the cycle. That points somewhere different to a failure to light.Get it checked
- E03Flue gas temperature has exceeded the safe limit. It usually means the heat exchanger is not transferring heat properly into the water.Get it checked
