LG LG AI DD fault codes
Built 2019 onwards
F4V and F2V prefixes. Launched July 2019. Weighs and senses the fabric to pick a wash motion. The F4 prefix denotes a 1400rpm spin and F2 a 1200rpm, which is a pattern across the range rather than a published rule.
Codes on the LG AI DD follow the same LG scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
Fault codes
All LG codes that apply to this model.
- OEThe machine could not drain the water it used. LG point at the drain filter and the drain hose, and both are owner-accessible.Get it checked
- IEThe drum did not fill to the level it wanted in the time allowed. LG treat IE and 1E as the same code, so you do not need to tell them apart.Get it checked
- UEThe load is heaped on one side of the drum. LG describe it as laundry piled to one side, and it is normal behaviour rather than a breakdown.Usually simple to fix
- LEThe drum failed to turn. LG name overloading and a foreign object first — and if it is the motor, the ten-year warranty may cover the part but not the labour.Get it checked
- dEThe door could not be locked, so the machine will not start. Usually something in the seal, occasionally the interlock itself.Get it checked
- CEAn over-current in the motor circuit. LG’s own instruction is to close the water tap, unplug the machine, and have it repaired.Stop — call an engineer
