Hotpoint DIH 12D IX fault codes
Built-in double oven, Beko lineage. Its manual has no fault codes at all and states plainly that the oven will not start until the clock is set.
Codes on the DIH 12D IX follow the same Hotpoint scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.

- FAn F followed by a number. Hotpoint publish no meaning for any of them — their instruction is to read the number down the phone, not to look it up.Get it checked
- Clock flashingOn some Hotpoint ovens the clock is an interlock, not a convenience. Until the time of day is set, the oven will not cook at all.Usually simple to fix
- KeylockNone of the buttons work. Hold the lock key for at least five seconds to release it — the oven is not broken, the panel is locked.Usually simple to fix
- DEMODemo mode is on, so everything works except the heat. Hotpoint give a free diagnostic tell: the word DEMO appears every 60 seconds.Usually simple to fix
- F3E3The food probe is not making proper contact. One of only two Hotpoint oven codes with a published meaning, and the fix is to check the connection.Get it checked
- ECOThe oven light has stopped coming on. Before you buy a bulb, check ECO mode — on these ovens it turns the light off by design.Usually simple to fix
- F8E8The water and steam system needs descaling. Hotpoint publish a full two-pass cleaning procedure for this, and it is a genuine owner fix.Get it checked
