Potterton Promax System fault codes
Built 2005 onwards
System variant for properties with a cylinder. The domestic hot water codes do not apply.
Codes on the Promax System follow the same Potterton scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
Fault codes
All Potterton codes that apply to this model.
- E133Ignition failed and the appliance has locked out. On a Promax the condensate run is the first thing to check in cold weather.Get it checked
- E119The appliance has stopped because system pressure is too low. Refilling to 1.2 bar clears it, but on an old system the reason it fell matters more.Get it checked
- E160The fan is not running at the speed the appliance expects, so the burner is locked out. This needs an engineer.Get it checked
- E128The flame was established and then repeatedly lost. That is a different fault from failing to light and it points somewhere else.Get it checked
- E130The flue gas thermostat has tripped on high temperature. It usually means heat is not getting into the water where it belongs.Get it checked
- E117System pressure has climbed above about 2.9 bar. Either it has been overfilled or the expansion vessel has stopped working.Get it checked
