Beko Beko BW1O range fault codes
BW1O3721W, BW1O3821W and BW1O3841BW freestanding. The same platform as the washer-dryers above but with the fullest code table Beko publish anywhere — eighteen entries on printed page 38. That page has no text layer, which is why the table appears in none of the third-party lists.
Codes on the Beko BW1O range follow the same Beko scheme as the rest of the range. Where a code behaves differently on this generation, the code page says so.
Beko fault codes
Every published Beko code. Open a code to see which models and years it applies to.
- E18Beko say E18 is an imbalanced load stopping the spin. Nearly every repair site says it is a drainage fault. Beko wrote the manual, and the remedies are completely different.Get it checked
- E5Beko give E5 as a clogged pump filter. This is the drainage code that most people arrive at through E18, and unlike E18 it really does mean the filter.Get it checked
- E8The machine asked for water and did not get enough. Beko list five things to check before calling anyone, and most of them are outside the machine.Get it checked
- Padlock symbolA padlock on the display is the child lock, not a fault. Beko unlock it by holding the second and fourth auxiliary buttons together for three seconds.Usually simple to fix
- E03Abnormal water drainage on the washer-dryer platform. Beko publish a drain hose height range for this one, and getting it wrong is a common cause.Get it checked
- E02No inlet water, on the washer-dryer platform. Note the leading zero — this is a different code family from E8, and the two are not interchangeable.Get it checked
- U4The door lock has not confirmed. Beko publish a specific unsticking sequence, and a clear line for when it means the lock has actually failed.Get it checked
- E12Beko record E12 when there may be water inside the machine. Their first instruction is to unplug it, and their second is to look underneath.Get it checked
- No fault codeMost Beko washing machines cannot show a fault code at all. Twenty-seven of thirty-three current UK manuals contain no codes whatsoever, only a symptom table.Usually simple to fix
- EXXBeko print EXX literally, as a published catch-all for every E-code they have not listed. If your Beko washer-dryer shows an E-code that is not E02 or E03, this is the official answer.Get it checked
- E17Too much foam. Beko give a five-part remedy that is entirely about how you dose detergent, and none of it involves a repair.Usually simple to fix
- E27Beko print no cause for E27 at all — only the instruction "check the water drain of the machine". The blank cell is deliberate, and it tells you something.Get it checked
- E05The water temperature sensor has failed. Beko’s entire published remedy is two words — power off — and the leading zero matters enormously here.Get it checked
- E29The machine has put itself into self protection mode because of a supply problem — Beko name line voltage and water pressure as examples rather than as the whole list.Get it checked
- EE0The heating element circuit has failed. Beko publish EE0 for an open circuit and EE1 for a short, and both get the same two words: power off.Get it checked
- Eb08The inverter driving the motor has run too hot or too hard. Beko’s published remedy is not a repair but a change of habit: wash smaller loads.Get it checked
- HA single letter H means the drum is too hot and the machine has paused itself. It clears on its own. This is not a fault code.Usually simple to fix
- EA2The water level is abnormally high. Beko print two words — power off — and on a machine that cannot stop filling that is the right instruction.Stop — call an engineer
- Eb02The mains supply voltage is outside what the machine will accept. Beko’s remedy is to unplug it, wait ten minutes and plug it back in.Get it checked
- EC1The parts of the machine have stopped talking to each other. Beko give a two-minute power cycle, and it is worth one proper attempt.Get it checked
- E11A condenser or dryer temperature sensor failure, so this one is about the drying side. Beko print the same two-word remedy: power off.Get it checked
- SCBeko’s wording is "Your complaint is not solved during the check". It is the readout telling you the self-test found something it cannot resolve.Get it checked
- ErrErr means the safety algorithm is still running in the diagnostic readout. Beko tell you to wait for it to pass and press the buttons again.Usually simple to fix
- E84A Bluetooth pairing failure for the HomeWhiz app. Your machine washes perfectly well without it, and only connected models can show this at all.Usually simple to fix
